Callum Cross is a highly skilled operator assigned under Mamba Company. His two closest companions are Dominik "Reaper" Graham and Elliot "Fox" Barker.

He is a demolitions expert, specializing in pyrotechnics. He bears a chaotic personality that masks a myriad of abandonment and trust issues. There are few that can rein him in, but those that can hold a very special place in his heart.

These such people are as listed:
- Ophelia Cross
- Dominik "Reaper" Graham
- Elliot "Fox" Barker
- Carlos "Ranger" Valentino ♥︎

❝ What am I supposed to do, Callie, if you’re not here? I’m just.. supposed to wake up and look over, and it’s not you I see, it’s a bed just as empty as I feel—I don’t know what to do.. with you gone. ❞

— Elliot "Fox" Barker

Callum never really had the chance to be a child. His parents never wanted children—his mother wanted a family without the responsibility, and his father wanted her to stay.    So when she left, the weight of a life she never wanted heavy on her shoulders, the toll it took weighed on everyone. Callum's father retreated into himself, blaming Callum and Ophelia for things they couldn't understand; and Callum himself took up the role of a parental figure for his younger sister. He taught her everything she knows.

❝ And I crawled back to a life that I said I wouldn't live in. ❞

— "Hallucinogenics" , by Matt Maeson

Joining the military was the best thing Callum had ever done for himself. Though it brought him grief and a heavier weight on his shoulders, it is where he found his family; Mamba Company.Facilitated by General Amir "Redfang" Killian, and led by Captain Isaiah "Mouse" Fox, Mamba Company is a branch of the British Marine Corp. SAS (Special Air Service). Working parallel with Rush Company, M-Company is a group of highly skilled operators and contractors.Callum was a sergeant before being recruited to Mamba Company, and he rose easily to the rank of Staff Sergeant.    On a notable mission, at the very start of his contracting with Mamba Company, is when he met Lieutenant Graham, who saved his life. The two quickly became close, near inseparable.    Yet another mission that involved the saving of a life soon dear is the one where Callum met Sergeant Barker. The man was in shock after witnessing the death of a close comrade, and Callum helped him get out of his head. The two, much like Callum and Reaper, became fast friends.A mission that Callum will never forget, much like the formers, is one in which he found another heart to call home; with Elliot watching through a scope and Reaper watching his six, Callum had gone to clear a room—and he found it clearly occupied, but not by someone to dispose of—a child.
A child that quickly becomes his own, taken in by a man who knows all too well how to raise someone scared. He'd had enough practice with Ophelia before he was even fourteen.
At one point, a newly recruited sergeant named Keagan "Moony" Jones finds himself taken under Callum's wing as well. The latter is both a father- and brother-figure to Keagan, along with being a mentor. Keagan adores Callum, even if he would never say it aloud, and vice versa.

❝ Because no matter where they take me, in death I will survive
And I will never be forgotten with you by my side. ❞

— "Somebody to Die For" , by Hurts

It is barely a year later that he finds himself on a mission accompanied by both Reaper and Elliot, along with a fellow Mamba Company operator, Zayne "Omen" Kennedy. Zayne is cousins with the Lieutenant Colonel of Mamba Company, Lionel Kennedy.Callum ends up getting shot, and Zayne finds him stumbling through rubble with a bullet hole in his side. He leads the former toward exfil—or that's what he says. Callum is too delirious with blood loss to realize he's lying. It isn't until he's being shoved face-first into a fire that he knows anything is wrong.

❝ And the things that you see
You spent so long running
But there's nothing coming
Turn around and run into me. ❞

— "Stole You Away" , by Benjamin Francis Leftwich

Callum Cross was a man destined to burn from the start. Once, he was a flourishing field, growing by the day and thriving. Yet the moment his mother left, the moment his father stopped caring, a drought had settled over his heart—and Zayne was just the spark needed to set him ablaze.
